You know you’re getting old when you forget dates which are meant to be important to you. I think the first one to go was my own birthday. I usually get a text or quick call from a family member which serves as a prompt reminder that it’s that day… And now, it wasn’t my [...] Time to get back into the throes of painting more garage kits! Recently acquired another to the “to do” pile in the shape of the Charagumin Shinguji Sakura from Volks so I can’t let the pile get any bigger! I asked some groups online as to which kit I should build next out of the [...] I think it’s about time to call this one in! Afterall, her kit wasn’t exactly the most complicated thing I’ve seen (clocking in at a mere 8 parts for the whole thing) so once painting started, it was pretty smooth sailing, tho I have to say that the Games Workshop liquid green stuff was a [...] It’s great that my next project pretty much fell into my lap after I completed Taiga. Furthermore, she’s a really simple kit as well, a mere 7 parts!! The only down side is that there’s a lot of cleanup to do. But here’s a prelim build of Kumashiro Maya Quite a few seam lines [...] Told you that it wouldn’t take long to finish this project, and on an even better note, I think I’m completely out of my melancholy! Regarding kit building at least. Taiga had a lot to do with it though. The sculpt was absolutely wonderful and so easy to work with! After looking at some of [...] After last weeks post, It may not come as a surprise to hear that I am rather fond of the Xeno- series. Specifically, Xenogears and the Xenosaga Trilogy. Regular readers will also know that I am not averse to dropping a considerable sum to acquire a particular GK when I think it’s worth it. Afterall, [...] So I’ve finally gotten her to a stage where I think it’s OK to show her off. Having said that, Putting her together has shown that she’s going to be exceptionally tricky to complete and the weight distribution is pretty poor. Going to probably need an additional base as an anchor… Overall, it wasn’t [...] You’d think that, after nearly a month since I posted about my next project, I’d have something to show for it… Well, I don’t. I place the blame mostly on the frustrating but excellent XCOM: Enemy Unknown but there’s also the fact that it’s simply a big task to clean up the parts. Initially, I was thinking of doing one of my Kiking kits but I finally received my invoice from Tokyo Hunter saying that I was able to obtain [...] She was finished a couple of weeks ago but I put her debut back for a few other things but now it’s time for her to shine. It’s the “white devil” herself, Takamachi whatever Nanoha!! Her bits have also been completed but at present, I don’t have a base or rods to keep them [...] |
